A Fair 8 Night Stay at Hong Vina 97 Hotel
Room cleaning and they have a nice coffee shop on the ground floor. A lot of nice coffee shops close by and also a lot of places to eat around like Pho, Banh mi, etc. Grocery markets nearby. Fresh towels were provided. A mini fridge was provided. The bathroom was nice and proper toilet amenities were provided. Hot water shower running. Good view from the room. The TV had English channels. They do provide room cleaning service. A lot of nice coffee shops within walking distance from this hotel and they have a nice big lounge coffee shop on the ground floor. Laundry service was provided and very fast. I had a special good memory for one night during my stay in this hotel ;)
To be honest, I have a few mixed feelings regarding the staff's hospitality. Sometimes they were nice to me and sometimes they were cold. Maybe due to my nationality, I presume. A good friendly smile goes a long way and makes guests feel more comfortable. So, I am not sure if this hotel was very expat-friendly or not. The TV screen was defective, but working. The shower door was broken. No complimentary water was provided during check-in. I did find the cleaning staff to be a bit rude to me while interacting during my initial stay here, but later I addressed my emotional frustration about this to the Manager, and it was kind of fixed up the following day. Also, I could hear some Vietnam lady always running down the lobby, jumping up and down the stairs most nights. The pictures shown on the booking site are actually stock photos and the rooms look very different when you check in at this hotel. So, kindly, put in real photos of the room on the site, so guests when they check in don't get surprised. Take this as productive feedback. Rest all fine!
